An Important Message

The protection of children is absolutely a part of our duty as citizens and parents.
There is something that you need to be aware of. I am not competent to speak of it in any detail, so I am asking you to log onto http://www.americanpapist.com/blog.html
(Video: Protecting Traditional Marriage and Preserving Childhood Innocence)
to read it for yourselves. This is important. We need to be aware of the insidious and pernicious activity of those at the highest level. May Jesus, Mary, and Joseph help and protect us!

Father, whatever anyone's opinion of Jennings is, it is a bald-faced lie to say that he aided and abetted child sexual abuse. It is a shame that a Catholic with a platform like Peters' is perpetuating it.

Thanks for pointing out those videos. I wonder what ever happened to teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic?

It is very hard to not give up hope. Things seem to be spiraling out of control. But like I read today...darkness cannot overcome the light. Pray, fast, and sacrifice. Not only is our faith and love being tested, but truly our hope is being tested.

Thank you all for your comments.
Mary Ellen--Sure is different than when I was in school; they separated us (girls from the boys) and gave a very scientific, abstract kind of talk about reproduction...once. Not every single day! And all this other stuff; I learned that much, much later....probably better off, I guess.

Thom: If Russ Feingold (D-Wis) is concerned about the "czars", something must be up; he is no conservative, but I think he cares about children. And that is what this post is about, in my mind. I am not interested in political issues per se; I just want to stand up for the rights of parents and for the protection of children. After all, that is what the Bishop's Conference, and the Holy Father himself have stated time and again. This Jennings just is not looking like a good candidate to oversee education; he has too many other agendas, I'm afraid.

TraciC: We must be vigilant in prayer and good works. The Lord is King!
