Today is the feast of our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas, the Star of the New Evangelization.
We had our formation day with our laity and celebrated the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Mass.
May our Lady, the Queen of the Americas, and the Rosa Mystica, pray for our nation, for all the world, that the culture of death may be defeated, during this most dark of hours.
Ave Maria!

I just left Crescat's blog and left this message regarding a picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe in our home. I hope you don't mind, I'll just cut and paste it here.

The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe has a very prominent place in my 19 year old son's bedroom. When he was about 3 or 4 years old, I was in a rosary group at my church and we took turns keeping a picture of the image at our home for the week and praying for conversions. Anyway, I usually couldn't bring it home because my husband left the church and having large religious symbols in the house would have caused problems (needless to say it is his conversion I'm constantly praying for). Anyway, my husband was out of town on business, so I took the large framed picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe home with me and my son fell in love with it!

He insisted that I keep it in his room because he said it made him feel safe. When I had to return the picture he was so upset that he was crying! So, a woman in my rosary group heard of this and she brought me a laminated picture of this image and it was blessed by the Pope when he came to the U.S. on a visit! That picture still remains in my son's room and even at the age he is now, he doesn't want it removed.

My husband is a hard nut to crack, but I believe that Our Lady is interceding for me and one day when my husband does convert, I will show him that picture and tell him about the prayers I prayed for him.

I continue to pray that the culture of death that has taken over this country will come to an end. It seems that Satan is working hard on Capitol Hill to make it easier for women to have abortions and to convince them that it is nothing more than a " medical procedure"...not murder of a baby.

Mary Ellen: Thank you for this beautiful testament to our Lady's intercession as Mother. May your son grow in his love for Her. She is truly a wonderful Mother. Will join you in your prayers for your husband...the Sacrament of Marriage is a powerful means of bringing spouses to God. He is one lucky guy to have you praying for him and being his wife!
Terry: Thank you--that means A LOT from a fellow artist! Br. Joseph did this and yes it is on our nazarethstudio.com website.
