Winter Scenes in October
This was the sight behind our house this morning...the snow is still here. For now. Like I said before, this is Wisconsin. We could have a heat wave tomorrow.
Father: They are talking 60 here by the weekend-even though we still have white stuff on the ground! Life in the Midwest-God's weather playground. Let me try this! Hee-hee. I feel like Jonah under the plant sometimes!
Cathy: Yes, that is what I heard, as well. We took out the air conditioners this week, so I hope we'll not have high humidity and 90 degrees next week!...although the air conditioners sit right next to the windows right now until they get put downstairs...maybe November!
I understand that it might be gone tomorrow (isn't that the way of snow, anyway? it eventually melts?), but for now it is beautiful. Nothing like pristine snow to inspire -- and a step outside into it to invigorate. Being in California, I miss snow. But I often travel to it, especially to places like Siberia in the winter. Wonderful snow!
Elizabeth: Thanks for visiting! And yes, the snow is gone today...but it will be back! No question about that! It's just a matter of when. Living in Wisconsin does give a wonderful experience of the four seasons (I just wish spring and fall were a bit longer!). FrJM
